Green and Clean from Seed to Concentrate

Green and Clean from Seed to Concentrate

With regard to responsible, green, clean cultivation practices, The Clear sets industry standards for CBD and THC concentrate.

The difference between The Clear concentrate and other products is that most other manufacturers use leftover plant material instead of flower. The flower is where most of the cannabinoids and terpenes are located. Many of our competitors’ main source of revenue is selling flower. Thus, they use only trim or shake that doesn’t make the cut for the dispensary sales floor. Accordingly, this includes plants with mold or spider mites. Microbial contamination will not show up in testing after the affected plants are processed.

Subsequently, the motto they use is, “Just blast it,” as they put poor-quality plant bits into cheap equipment.

We agree: Ewww.

The Clear Concentrate Difference

Plants grown for The Clear are of the highest possible quality. We use premium flower for our oils, because concentrate is all we do.

That standard for excellence starts with the soil we grow our plants in. We don’t use nitrates or synthetic pesticides. These leave a nasty taste that lingers in concentrate. Coincidentally, they have been connected to causing illness in consuming patients.

All of our hemp-derived CBD concentrate starts with plants grown by local Colorado farmers with industrial hemp certifications.

For our THC concentrate sold in Colorado, our sister company Bonsai Cultivation ensures plants meet their full potential. Bonsai Cultivation has won dozens of industry awards. So far, they’ve won the High Times Cannabis Cups and THC Championships multiple times.

Bonsai is Making Green, Clean

Our Colorado grow partner shares our belief that all segments of the cannabis industry need to be conscientious about our ecological impact. Moreover, there is consideration for what we put in the ground and water, for our energy consumption, and water use.

Bonsai’s state-of-the-art cannabis cultivation facility incorporates the latest in ecologically friendly techniques. Therefore, there is top-level technology for irrigation and automated plant feeding. The cultivation team reclaims and reuses 1,000 gallons of reverse-osmosis water produced each cycle by facility dehumidifiers. Working to reduce waste, they are composting everything from soil to stems to fan leaves.

The Bonsai team focuses on being as energy efficient as possible. Stepping down their power consumption for all lighting and mechanical equipment is part of this. Their energy-efficient HVAC system uses water chillers that reduce their energy consumption by 33 percent. They have created a special layout for their double-ended lighting system that reduced their facility’s lighting needs by 400 fixtures.

That system and techniques of managing their plant canopy are robust. With specially designed trellising, they can produce the same yield with 40 percent less energy consumption. They rotate the flower cycles in each room, to only use 50 percent of their cooling capacity at any time. They also manage peak demand for energy use by offsetting times for power needs.

Bonsai is as green as they can be. They set the standard for our THC cultivation partners in other states.

From Seed to Concentrate

The old saying “garbage in, garbage out” definitely applies to concentrates. After proper curing, we put only the cleanest plant material into our proprietary extraction equipment. And it shows.

The Clear™ concentrates smell, taste and test better. They also have incredible purity and potency. There is a difference, and our satisfied, loyal customers recognize it.

The Clear is Getting Into the CBD Market

The Clear is Getting Into the CBD Market

We are an industry-leading cannabis brand, known for its pure, potent THC concentrate products. Why did we decide to branch into the CBD market?

We’ve spent five years building our THC product line. It wasn’t a difficult decision to bring The Clear into the cannabidiol, or CBD marketplace.

The Clear already holds a significant percentage of the vape cartridge market in the cannabis concentrates industry. But, CBD products give us even more options and flexibility. That’s what is fueling our expansion into America’s robust CBD market.

First, clinical data on the positive effects of CBD on various medical conditions continue to roll in. In December 2018, the World Health Organization issued an important report stating CBD is not harmful. The report also claims that it has health benefits and does not have abuse potential, among other findings. There have been years of anecdotal evidence supporting these claims. It’s promising for us to have important reports like this being published at this point in time.

The Legality of it All

Second, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, or FDA, is beginning to open the door to cannabidiol products. Recently, GW Pharma was approve to create an advisory panel in April. This panel unanimously voted in favor of approving a cannabis-derived CBD medication. Epidiolex is for treatment of certain forms of epilepsy.

Third, more states are legalizing cannabis in various forms. Low-THC or CBD-only laws have been enacted in at least 15 states, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures. The Senate, meanwhile, has fast-tracked Sen. Mitch McConnell’s bill that would nationally legalize hemp, which would vastly improve the domestic economics of hemp-derived CBD. Awareness of CBD products and their benefits will only continue to grow. More people are encountering legalized medical marijuana, medical hemp and patients using these products.

Modern cannabis is consumed in a number of different ways, including edibles and tinctures. Non-smokable cannabis products are a key component of state medical marijuana laws. Particularly in places like Minnesota, Texas, Florida and New York.

Vaporized cannabidiol fits the bill nicely.

We are encouraged by the 29 states that allow medical marijuana and the nine that have legalized adult-use cannabis. We believe consumers in every state should have access to potent, pure cannabis extracts now. So, we extract our CBD from US-grown hemp that is certified compliant with the 2018 Farm Bill.

The terpenes that give our products flavors like Orange Creme and Potent Pineapple are not cannabis-derived. So, we can send products that incorporate them in most states and many countries.

We believe The Clear will become a CBD market leader, just as it has been in state-regulated THC marketplaces. Initial sales figures in these Arizona, Colorado and California tell us that our move to CBD is the right one. In Colorado and California, we exceeded our THC sales in just a matter of months. Thi was without marketing, simply making these federally-legal products available. As we start to market these products, the potential grows larger.

Next Steps

As the volume of CBD sales rises, it augments the THC side of our business. Ergo, boosting brand awareness. As consumers become familiar with the superior technology and unique flavors of our CBD products, they can easily move over to our THC offerings in state-regulated dispensaries. It’s a force multiplier for our business.

There is powerful potential in distribution to unregulated vendors where CBD products are selling. Places like pharmacies, smoke shops, retail health-and-wellness businesses, spas, and more. The cannabis product trend is not just domestic. Our partners are planning to bring our products to Europe and Japan, and then to other markets in Asia.

Consumers are also hungry for science-based, lab-tested CBD products. This provides positive experiences for those who have not found success with inconsistent off-the-shelf CBD products. Reliability, efficacy and quality are key for consumers. With products like The Clear, consumers know how much CBD they are consuming with each puff of the vaporizer.

There are so many potential benefits, applications and avenues for these products. Such as, providing relief for those suffering from chronic pain or terminal illnesses, to killing a craving for nicotine. In the coming years as we continue to expand cannabinoid research and develop new methodologies for producing extracts, we believe the market has limitless potential. We are bringing a better CBD product to the market for these customers and patients.

The Clear Enters Into a New Market

The Clear Enters Into a New Market

Nevada, The Clear has landed!

Cannabis concentrate cartridge markets grew by $150 million in the US between 2016 and 2017. The Clear has a strong, proven product concept, and a strategy curated over time. Naturally, our distillate products entered the market in Nevada. Note, cannabis products are for adults 21 and over. Keep out of reach of children!

We relish the following 2018 press release from Cannabis Dispensary Magazine. It states, “with a product launch in Nevada and more to come, The Clear™ is growing nationally – quickly.”

Since our debut in the Nevada market in 2018, we have to say we love our Nevada #ClearFam.

Dab Strain Review: The Clear Concentrate

Dab Strain Review: The Clear Concentrate

The following article contains a review of our concentrate “honey buckets” when they first hit the California cannabis market in 2014.

We no longer sell our honey buckets as of 2021. However, we do use the same clear, solventless distillate concentrate in all of our vape products available today.

The Clear is in the Press

It is an honor to be mentioned by Cannabis Now. They have been reporting on relevant cannabis trends and news for eleven years!

At the time this article was posted, the reporter was not a regular concentrate consumer. Rather, they were a flower consumer. After trying and reviewing our product, they encourage their readers over 21 in legal states to “put aside your prejudices… and try this revolutionary new product.”

There’s a lot that we love about this honorable mention. For instance, the journalist is so honest. He admits that he’s a minimalist with high-brow preferences. This applies to his chocolate, his coffee, and yes, his cannabis. He prefers the simple things to be above-average, and we get that. Being someone who doesn’t consume concentrate, the journalist changed his mind:

“With a single, strategic hit I could thoroughly medicate myself with little of the typical fuss and most importantly, none of the stinging in my lungs or sharp fits of coughing that the typical solvent concentrate delivers. On a nail or in a pen, the Clear is sweet and rich without being overwhelming. The flavors are clear and defined, lingering pleasantly on ones’ palate after consumption. At this point, I’ve tried quite a few of them and can say without hesitation that there’s not a single variety that doesn’t sing as well in my bloodstream as the next… I love them all.”
